Find the Gingerbread Man Holiday Hunt: Official Rules
1. Sponsor. The Find the Gingerbread Man Holiday Hunt (the "Contest") is run by Hidden Jem Photography, 53130 Range Rd 34, Kapasiwin, AB T0E 2K0, hidden.jem.photo@gmail.com, (780) 887-3137 (the "Sponsor").
2. Contest period. The Contest opens November 3, 2026 at 12:00 a.m. Mountain Time (MT) and closes December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. MT. Entries for the Early Bird Draw must be received by November 30, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. MT.
3. Eligibility. Open to residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of entry. The Sponsor, members of the Sponsor's household, and anyone involved in running the Contest are not eligible.
4. How to enter. No purchase necessary. Find the Gingerbread Man image hidden on hiddenjemphotography.com and, after noting where he is, click on him to go to the entry form, then complete the entry form at hiddenjemphotography.com/gingerbread-hunt, including the page and location where you found him. Only entries that correctly identify his location are eligible. Round 1 runs November 3 to 30. On December 1, the Gingerbread Man moves to a new location for Round 2, which runs December 1 to 31. Limit one entry per person per round; a person who entered in Round 1 may enter again in Round 2. Round 1 entries are included in both draws, so a person may have at most two entries in the Grand Prize Draw. Entries made using more than one email address, or by automated means, will be disqualified.
5. Entering on behalf of someone else. Entrants may enter for themselves or as a gift for someone else. The entrant is the contestant: the entrant must meet the eligibility rules, answer the skill-testing question and accept the prize. If a winning entrant chooses to gift the prize, the prize certificate will be issued in the name of one person they choose. That person may live anywhere in Canada outside Quebec. If the recipient is a minor, the certificate is issued to their parent or guardian. Once issued, a certificate cannot be transferred again.
6. Prizes. Early Bird Prize (one): one Christmas mini session with Hidden Jem Photography, the winner's choice of a Family PJ Mini (10-minute session, 4 digital images; approximate retail value $225 plus GST) or Christmas with the Critters (approximate retail value $245 plus tax; weather permitting). A session time on the 2026 Christmas mini session dates will be reserved for the winner. Grand Prize (one): a $575 credit toward any Hidden Jem Photography session of the winner's choice (approximate retail value $575), to be booked and held by December 31, 2027. The credit may be applied to a larger package, with the recipient paying the difference. Applicable taxes are the recipient's responsibility. Prizes include the session and what that package includes. Upgrades, extra images, prints, products, travel to the studio and any in-home travel fees are not included. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash, cannot be combined with other offers, and any unused portion is forfeited. If a prize cannot be awarded as described, the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater value.
7. Draws. The Early Bird Draw takes place on December 1, 2026 and the Grand Prize Draw on January 4, 2027, at the Sponsor's studio. Each is a random draw from all eligible, correct entries received for that draw. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
8. Winner notification and skill-testing question. The selected entrant will be contacted by email (and by phone if provided) within two business days of the draw. To be declared a winner, they must reply within 72 hours, confirm their eligibility, and correctly answer a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question without assistance. If they do not respond in time, are ineligible, or answer incorrectly, another entry will be drawn.
9. Thank-you offer. Every entrant receives an automatic email offering 10% off any Hidden Jem Photography session booked by Easter Sunday, March 28, 2027. To redeem it, the entrant forwards or shows that email to the Sponsor when booking. The offer is valid only for the person named on an eligible entry, who must book using the same name and email they entered with, and may be used once per entrant. It cannot be combined with other offers or prizes, cannot be transferred, and has no cash value.
10. Email consent. Entering does not sign you up for marketing emails. You'll receive Hidden Jem's newsletter only if you tick the opt-in box on the entry form, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
11. Privacy. Personal information collected is used to run the Contest, contact winners and issue certificates, and is handled according to the Sponsor's privacy policy at hiddenjemphotography.com/privacy. Gift recipients' names are used only to issue the certificate.
12. Publicity. With the winner's permission, the Sponsor may share the winner's first name, last initial and prize on its website and social media.
13. Social media. This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Meta, Facebook or Instagram. Entrants release Meta from any liability related to the Contest.
14. General. The Sponsor may modify, suspend or cancel the Contest if it cannot run as planned, in a way that does not unfairly affect entrants. By entering, entrants agree to these rules and the Sponsor's decisions, which are final. The Contest is governed by the laws of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
